About Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen
A community of compassion, serving those in need since 2007.
Our Story
Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen was founded on a simple belief: no one in our community should go hungry. The vision began as an idea among three educators in the Fall of 2006, a non-profit organization directed by area business people, professionals, educators, church leaders and citizens. On November 1, 2007 the Soup Kitchen served its first meals. Through the generosity of the pastor and congregation of the Woodruff Church of God of Prophecy, the kitchen is able to serve 5 days a week, Monday - Friday mornings 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM. The kitchen is also open one Saturday morning a month for breakfast. Please check with the Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen for the next date and time for breakfast.
Rooted in faith and sustained by the generosity of volunteers and donors, we open our doors to anyone who comes to our table — offering not just a meal, but a moment of warmth, dignity, and belonging.
We are grateful for every person who has made this ministry possible, and we remain committed to serving our community with love for years to come.
